Here we have a very fine vintage "Jack O' London" briar estate pipe in the straight 'pot' shape, crafted by Hardcastle's of London - a Dunhill sub-brand.The briar has a superb, varied grain.
It remains in very good condition overall - the shank has been shortened slightly, but the stemstill fits well - a number of light dings and scratches on the briar - and a few teethmarks on the stem.
There is just a shallow layer of carbon in the chamber, and a little darkening to the bo...wl rim.The stem fixes very securely to the shank, and air flows through the pipe freely.
Stamped on one side ofthe briar shank is "Hardcastle's" over "British Made", then "Jack O' London", with model number "3" on the underside."H" for 'Hardcastle's' adorns the stem.
Thoroughly cleaned and ready to enjoy.Sold as seen.
