Up for Auction with NO RESERVE is an EXQUISITE c1880 VICTORIAN GOLD GILT EPNS & GLASS BISCUIT BARREL TEA CADDY JAR This beauty just excudes opulence and I believe was originally Silver Plated but someone went to great expense to have it Gilded in 24k Solid Gold ! We sold numerous items from this same estate months ago, their family loved Gold and we more pieces this week. The Jar is really fabulous quality with superb details and being Martin, Hall & Company you know the quality is top notch.
Condition : The Biscuit Barrel is in really amazing condition with no damage or repairs and the Gold is shiny, bright and beautiful. The Glass as well is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.
Measurements : The Biscuit Barrel is a great size for cookies etc but is also a great size for use as a Tea Caddy Jar, measuring 9-1/2 inches long by 7-1/2 inches wide by 8 inches tall overall or the Glass insert alone measures 6-3/8 inches long by 4-7/8 inches wide by 8 inches tall.
