A rare Chinese archaistic bronze pear shaped vase.With twin dragon handles and a band of diaper ground, the body with four large cicada type designs.The vase with original blackened lacquer with a glossy encrusted dark patina.Please note this is an original bronze vase from the Song Yuan dynastyand not a modern or later copy.
Size; 11. 2/8 inches high ( 28.5 cm )
Weight; 1.1 Kg.
Condition; Original patina with a few small areas of flaking to old lacquer, two dents to body... which can be seen in photo's and one smaller one.A small old lead repair to body and one to foot rim.Having said that, the vase still displays well and considering it's ageis in good condition.
