This listing is for a beautiful antique Chinese silk robe with blue silk thread embroidery. It is all hand made and measures 52 1/2 inches or 133.3 cm long from the shoulders to the bottom hem line at the back. It is 23 inches or 58.2 cm wide from armpit to armpit across the back. The silk is a light gold color, and the interior is lined in light blue. It has round medallions throughout the gold silk, the robe is further enhanced with hand embroidered flowers on stem with foliage and ...butterflies. Around the collar, cuffs and bottom hem of the robe all have black silk trim with large embroidered scrolling flowers in shades of blue. There are 5 round gilt metal buttons with silk hooks and buttons, to fasten the garment at the front.The condition is as follows; there is a large stain at the bottom of back hem, all the silk hooks that the button fasten to have broken over time, there is some tattering to the collar at the back where it attaches to the robe, and a small split in the fabric on the collar.
