Antique Weir/Raymond 1870s Sewing Machine Instruction Booklet
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:18684879 |
After more than 40 yearsof collecting, the time has come to thin down on my
antique-sewing-machineephemera. Please check for new items each week.
They will range from thesuper-rare to the more common. All will be packaged
carefully in ahard-card-back envelope or whatever might be more suitable.
Happy to combinepostage where practical.
Sadly, this booklet has not been well treated overthe years, and there is a
corner section missing – please see the phot...ographs.
It deals with the Raymond machines importedfrom Canada to the UK by
Member of Parliament and entrepreneur James GallowayWeir.
The booklet, which runs to 16 pages plus cover, measures just over 4 inches
x 5, and deals with the day-to-day running, maintenance and the use of
accessories.
The good news is that the missing corners onlyaffect the text on one page.
It’s fair to say this manual may not suit anephemera collector, but it will
certainly be useful for someone who owns one ofthese iconic machines and
wants to know how to use it (FCC14)
