This superb "A. Bucherer & Cie" "Saba" articulated doll has its' original box and is in "as found" condition.SABA, A. Bucherer & Cie of Amriswil, Switzerland, was famous for character dolls with metal, articulate bodies. There were over 160 characters.The articulation to the joints of the arms and legs all work as they should.The head, hands and feet have retained much of their original paint, although there is some wear in places, particularly, to the cap. There are two small chips, ...one to the hand and another to a boot, but, the cigarette has remained intact.His torso is stamped "Made in Switzerland, Patents Applied For".He comes in a box, this has had some internal repairs and the lid is missing an end. SABA, A. Bucherer & Cie of Amriswil, Switzerland, was famous for character dolls with metal, articulate bodies. There were over 160 characters.
The articulation to the joints of the arms and legs all work as they should.
The head, hands and feet have retained much of their original paint, although there is some wear in places, particularly, to the cap.
There are two small chips, one to the hand and another to a boot, but, the cigarette has remained intact.
