The outer case is pierced with circles and thin fluted columns.The tiny case inside has a spiral carved center, also pierced. What isamazing is that they are both in outstanding condition with no chips orcracks. Both cases arecarved of bone* and screwtogether perfectly. The i...nner case measures a petite 2 1/2"long and holds some very small and fine steel needles. The outer caseis 3 3/8" long. *Thisitem is made of bone from a domestic cow (bovine) and not from anendangeredspecies.
