Please see the section below, regarding buyers with zero feedback, and bidding on my items. And now, without further ado...You are looking at a vintage estate pipe. ... This pipe was acquired with 4 others at an estate sale. I will be listing all 5. They will need to be cleaned and sanitized. This one is a Comoy's The Academy Award. I don't know much about pipes, but I will do my best to describe. From info I have gathered from the net, it appears this is a Briarwood pipe, with the engravings The Academy Award London Pipe, and S8 Made in London England. The stem shows no logo that I can see. Stem has some bite marks and an olive greenish cast to it, presumably from oxidation. I am selling these pipes in the condition as found. Bowl has some darkening on top, and tobacco residue within. Measures approximately 5.5" long. Bowl measures approximately 1 5/16" diameter. If you have questions, please ask. Please look at photos carefully as they are part of the description. Some of the photos are taken with flash and some without so thatyou can see the beauty and detail of this fine pipe. This item is in as described condition, and is sold as-is.

Box as your shipping address, you can still bid but shipping will need to be calculated, so please contact me with your zipcode first, so I can tell you the actual cost to get it to you. Again, I reserve the right to use either Fed Ex or USPS to ship your item, always taking in to account the quickest and most efficient way to get your purchase to you safely. We have all been there at some point, being new to ebay and all...it's exciting to bid on items! But when you do, you are creating a contract between yourself and the seller, and it's really lame not to follow through on your purchase when you win. Because I have had a few buyers like this, I must institute a policy that buyers with zero feedback must contact me BEFORE bidding on any of my items. If you are a buyer with ZERO feedback, and you bid on my items without contacting me first, your bid will be cancelled. Yes, I know, there are some righteous buyers with zero feedback, and you may be one of them...but because of the ones that aren't, you must go through this extra step if you want to purchase an item from me. This policy applies to ZERO feedback buyers only...everyone else, feel free to bid away! : )
A few words about my return policy…
I don't accept returns, and my items are sold as-is, with no warranties expressed or implied. Here's why...I've sold in excess of 1500 items on ebay. I've had only a few returns. The very few returns I've had were not packed by the buyers, with the care that I take, to ensure that items arrive safely. That being said, I have been a seller for 15 years on ebay, and I have 100% feedback and high DSR's for a reason. I stand behind every transaction. If you EVER have a problem with a purchase from me, you can rest assured that I will work it out with you, to your satisfaction. I just ask that you please contact me and allow me the opportunity to address any issues BEFORE opening a case with ebay, or leaving negative feedback. Thanks : )

Please keep in mind when you rate your sellers, that shipping is more than just the post office mailing rate. It includes the padded envelopes, tape, printing, bubblewrap, styrofoam peanuts, etc…all the things necessary to ensure that your item arrives safely to you. These things may add a few cents to your shipping costs, but really, would you rather have it any other way?
