Vintage Chinese Embroidered And Velvet Edge Imperial Yellow Silk Under Skirt

An exquisite Imperial Yellow embroidered and velvet edged underskirt. The garment is very long so was either intended for a man , or to be worn up to underarm height by a fairly tall woman.
I believe that this garment was intended to be worn under a long coat/robe so that just the decorative edge was showing.The second photograph is shown on a full size female vintage mannequin which stands at 135cm shoulder height.
The very finely embroidered floral border is on Imperial yellow/...gold silk satin with royal blue velvet edges. The satin border is 48cms deep overall and within that the embroidered/velvet section is 18.8cm deep. The top of the skirt Is yellow silk, slightly gathered into a fixed waistband and two adjustable pearlescent plastic buttons on either side. The seams and hems appear to be delicately hand sewn.The satin section is lined internally with shantung yellow silk.The top section is unlined.Overall length 113cmWidth at hem 72cm( circumference 144cm)Unfortunately I have no provenance or knowledge of age for this beautiful garment, but I am assuming that it is Chinese in origin, probably first half of 20th Century.
