This striking, beautiful quilt measures 80" by 69" across and weighs just short of 5 lbs un-boxed (5 lbs 14 oz). The bed is a queen, 80" by 60".
The fabrics used are all feed sack scraps. The piecing was done by hand. The four stars on the corners are appliques sewn to the body of the quilt.
There is one feed sack with a novelty style print of a colonial lady with an umbrella.
There is not much more we can say about this folk piece of art, probably made in a farm, given ...the large number of feed sacks used. Please check the photos and enjoy.
