Another estate purchase. And, not my area of expertise. But, I love old instruments. And, this looked really old when I previewed. I love the designs imprinted on it where it is marked F.E. OLDS & SON. And, up above the name "RECORDING". It came in a fabric carrying case that is padded. And, not the original carrying case, at least I don't think it is. The main part of the padded fabric case the trumpet was enclosed in has a zipper closure. And there is also a front zipper pocket, ...but it has torn. So the fabric case shows wear, tear, discolorations. There were other items enclosed in the case that you will see in some of the photos. I will just keep all the items with it since that's the way I purchased. Including a couple of old band award pins ? or medals ? Unfortunately, the front of this trumpet has some damage and not sure how to describe it. It should be visible in the photos. But maybe it was pushed against something or ? I really do not know. But, it's caused wrinkling, crinkling, creases, dents or ? not sure how to describe in the metal at the front. And I'm hoping it can go to someone that can possibly repair it or restore it. It does show use and wear. Scratches, surface color wear and places. There's a number on it. A close-up picture was also taken of the numbers. I assume the serial no.? It looks to be 826660. I'm not sure of the exact age. But it looks like an old one. So please look at all the photos and please be your own judge. Thanks for your interest and looking :) Hopefully the 12 photos uploaded will help speak for the condition and description.
