Antique RARE!! 26" Thomas Edison Metal Body Doll Marked 224 12 Made by Bahr & Proschild. I purchased this doll on July 17, 1984 from Mrs. Kiddle of Belleville, New Jersey. This doll belonged to her mother who was then 95 years old. Her metal body was made by Thomas Edison. Inner parts are missing. She has a bisque head marked 224 12. She has stationary brown eyes, her original dark brown human hair wig, open mouth with four teeth, woo...d legs and arms, composition hands and lower legs. One of her thumb's is missing but it doesn't take away from the rarity of this doll.
She has her original shoes, underwear and petticoat. She is also dressed in a two-piece hand made medium blue and white outfit with matching hat.
I've searched EBay and haven't seen any other dolls like her that have been sold or listed. She would be an added plus to anyone's collection.
**During the holiday season we only ship through USPS Priority Mail which usually takes about a week to get to it's destination. Keep in mind that we used extra sturdy boxes, wrap the doll's head in baby diapers, wrap the head and body with bubble wrap a few times. We then fill the box with packing peanuts.
