my wife bought this rc car in 1988 for a xmas present for me.( came from walmart $49.94) we had a pond in our back yard and when it would freeze over i would take this car and put it on the frozen ice and this thing was a blast, i played it with 2 years and then i put it on my shelf with my collection of model cars i built when i was a kid. we have moved and down sized. i still had the box for this thing in the attic. i put fresh batteries in it and this thing runs like it did ne...w. NOW the bad the tires have flat spots and 2 of the tires have cracks as you see in the picture. it still flys across the floor. and the turbo boost still works too. this has a switch to switch if from high gear to low gear, i always used high gear since i was on flat surface. it takes 8 AA's and 1 9 volt battery. i will ship this to the lower 48 states for 25.00. I didnt have kids until 5 years later and i never got it out for them to play with it. really forgot about it.
