VTG Samsonite Travel Train Case Shwayder Bros Powder Bird Egg Blue Tweed W/ Tray

This listing is for a vintage piece of luggage - a hard case cosmetic case or a train travel case by Shwayder Bros. for Samsonite / Travel Train. The color is a beautiful light speckled blue tweed (reminds me of bird eggs). The photos show it as being a bit more aqua than it really is - I would call it a cross between powder blue and robin's egg blue. There are a lot of shades of blue within the tweed pattern, including some sparkly silver bits!
Approx.... 13" x 9" x 9" in size. Silver colored metal hardware (hinges and locks). Includes the plastic compartment tray, which my aunt opted for instead of the mirror she said when she ordered it, she could have a choice but couldn't afford both the tray and the mirror...so the tray won out because she said she could always put a hand mirror in the case herself! Please see photos for more detail. Has a solid carrying handle on the top and trim on the corners and edges that is stitched. The interior is a blue soft vinyl lining and elastic shirred straps on the lid. The tray is an ivory plastic. The key is no longer available. Some minor wear to outside and inside shows use with some minor spotting. Hinges and clasps work well. Makes adorable yet chic storage options for your home.
