Stunning little vintage inlaid silver plate designed and made by Los Castillo artisans from Taxco Mexico.
Their Sun plate-inlaid with copper and bronze with a deep rim of inlaid turquoise.
I purchased this at an estate in NSW earlier in the year.
It measures 13 cm in diametre and is approximately 8 mm deep.
It weighs 162 grams and is in very good condition-as I hope that you can see in my photo's.I have not attempted to clean the plate-I will leave that up to the buyer.It s...hows normal signs of use and wear-but no damage or missing inlay.
Stamped to the back LOS CASTILLO TAXCO and Hand Wrought with Made in Mexico and also the number 10.
It is a stunning piece of beautiful workmanship.
