This is a very fine pair of antique Chinese export porcelain plates. with Arms of Yonge, circa 1725. Decorated in the famille verte palette. with bull and griffin flanking Yonge crest "In Uno Tria Iuncta". The ribbon banner below reads Laudat Qui Invidlt. The border of flowers and scholars devices in iron red , blues, and gold. Each with old Sarah Potter Conover label on reverse. Ms. Conover was one of the old New York porcelain dealers who dealt in wonderful objects. Diameter of ...each 9 inches. Condition: no repairs or restoration. One with reverse 1 cm rim chip and tiny frit, the inner gilt border with slightest wear. The other with several rim chips the largest on reverse 1 cm., slight gilt inner border wear, a very, very, faint tight 3 cm line.
