DESCRIPTION.
A very fine, large-sized work of mid-19th century oil on canvas in an oval composition, titled 'Angle's Whisper'. There is an indistinct signat...ure in pencil, which appears to read 'W. Pull..nd" at the lower left corner, just outside the composition of the painting. On the opposite side, there is a dating of 'February, 1852'. The title is inscribed at the top corners. The work displays excellent quality throughout. Presented in a late 19th century antique gilt frame.
The work is in a good antique condition overall. The canvas remains unlined and has two small patchworks to tears on background area. A few other minor tears also exists. Fine craquelure runs throughout; stretcher marks also visible. The frame is also in a good antique condition with surface wear and losses to small details.
