Many thanks for your co-operation and understanding.From all indications this is a very early brass cased barometer. The dial has a serial n...umber 17786 but no makers markings. The back has beautifully hand engraved lettering as shown giving some general levels and calculations for use? Ive no great insight into the use of the information on the back - please see the pictures.This does appear to be a very fine instrument, beautifully made and in wonderful condition as you can see. Item is NOT tested however and is sold as is. Case diameter is 12.5cm diameter and 5cm in depth. Weight 680 Grams.We have listed several other pieces of antique and vintage jewellery.
