Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:188381 |
A chair back, one with wider panel at the top, T shaped, probably used for a chair where one knelt on the lower half to pray and rested on the top section.
The central design is of rose spays with leaves. Around this is a darker toned background with greys and blue and yellow.Numbered 1448 at the top right. Market bottom left for P. Trube in Berlin ( active in the 1850's).
Fair to good condtion in that the design is clear. Slightly grubby... and creased with actual tears in the centre, vertically, which can be seen with light behind. Still a striking piece and quite strong, not feeble.
Top to bottom 23.25 inches or 59cm, width across the very top 16.5 inches or 32cm.
