"This came from the famed L'Art Nouveau Bing shop in Paris, circa 1898 and was created as an expo vase for the Paris Universal exposition of 1900 by George De. Feure and designed by Galle. They worked together on this piece. De Fur was the famed Glass and furniture maker. They worked together during this era - and with experimental pieces that might be shown - that they did not s...ign them. While this piece is not signed it has the thick art glass with cameo cut and fine gold gilt bronzed poppies that would only come from this duo during this time period. The seller I purchased from (Entourage Antiques in Syracuse New York) - 100% guaranteed it to be authentic and had it appraised at over $3, 000.00 - in the early 2000's. It measures 8" tall with a diameter of 4".The metal work is fabulous - in the Art Nouveau fashion. The glass has blood reds running through it like a mineral. It is NOT signed but we are absolutely confident that it is a Galle."
