Benedict Studios Hammered Copper Mica Lamp Arts Crafts Stickley Era Not Company
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:18849187 | Primary Material: Copper |
Authentic antique lamp, not a repro. Was originally an oil lamp. As you can see from photos, it was converted without drilling holes in any of the original copper parts. With a glass chimney installed, it could easily be converted back to oil. Look at photos carefully for overall condition. Some light bumps and dents on shade, esp around the cap. One little split at the ...very top. One tab on inside of shade missing. Original mica with some flaking and darker spots near the top from when it was an oil lamp; enhanced Patina, which means it was darkened a bit since it was cleaned at some point . Rewired cord. Original socket and pull. Unmarked. All Benedict Studios attributed lamps I have researched are unmarked.
16” tall by 12” at widest on shade.
Rare lamp since it was originally oil. I could not find one like this online. Why put money into a repro when you can have an original antique that will hold its value and appreciate over time? If you’re looking at Mica Lamp Co, keep in mind that their lamps aren’t even hammered...
