References suggesting a manufac...ture in the 1950s, this slide rule has been carefully used and stored allowing it to be very clean and free of any distracting smudges, unsightly scratches, or etched or inked markings. The quality construction of this Faber-Castell wood slide rule is designed with metal inserts permitting its tolerance towards the effects of climatic conditions along with providing stability and elasticity. The slide rules are noted for their extraordinary hardness and smooth surface allowing the desired “slide” without binding. There are no original instructions for this A.W. 7. This auction item along with protective packaging materials are weighed and published in the auction listing. Total weight less than or equal to 13 ounces (oz) will be shipped to the registered mailing address of the winning eBay Auction bidder from the United States (US) using the United States Postal Service (USPS) First-Class Mail Service. Packages weighing more than 14 oz are required to be shipped using USPS Priority Mail Service. For winning bids over $57, USPS Signature Confirmation Service will be added to the postage total.
8. To assure the correct postage costs, the winning eBay bidder is advised to wait for the formal ECB generated eBay Auction Invoice that will include the required postage, insurance, postal services, and any other costs as are applicable. Costs for postage will be calculated using current United States Postal Service (USPS) rates as published and available from the USPS website.
9. For deliveries within the US, the USPS postage, postal services, and any postal insurance costs will be based on both the envelope/packet/package weight and dimension limitations/restrictions along with the value of the auction item registered as the winning eBay Auction bid. If provided an opportunity for different delivery options, unless advised differently by the winning eBay bidder, ECB will attempt to use the lower cost postage as may be available.
10. For deliveries outside the US, Airmail First Class Mail - International or Airmail First Class Mail - International plus Certificate Of Mailing service will be used. The USPS international postage and all other related costs will be calculated and listed on the eBay Auction Invoice. To ensure understanding of the total auction transaction costs, eBay bidders located outside of the US should ask a question regarding the international postage and shipping charge to get the auction item to their location prior to bidding. Since international postage to different countries can vary widely due to many factors, there is a need to calculate postage on a case by case basis. International eBay bidders should indicate whether postal insurance for the auction item is desired.
11. USPS postage costs for any special mailing situations will be calculated and indicated on the eBay Auction Invoice.
12. ECB will abide by any/all mailing restrictions posted by the country of the eBay bidder. International eBay bidders are advised to become completely informed about any/all restrictions that might apply to this auction item being shipped into their country. Also, international eBay bidders will understand that any/all customs fees, duties, and taxes imposed by their country will be directly handled by the winning eBay bidder. eBay bidders are to be aware that predictions about delivery are subject to unknown factors beyond the control of ECB that may delay the delivery process. Furthermore, ECB cannot be held responsible for any delay or confiscation with this auction item being held by the Customs Officials of the country of the winning eBay bidder. Tracking of a shipment within the US is possible; specific tracking of a shipment outside the US is not possible by ECB.
13. ECB subscribes to the online generation of labels available through the collaboration of eBay/PayPal and the United States Postal Service to purchase USPS postage, other postal services, and insurance as necessary. Such practice generates a label with the winning eBay bidder mailing address as registered with PayPal along with an official USPS tracking number placed onto the eBay auction transaction. To avoid the possibility of delay and/or loss, eBay bidders are requested to make certain that both eBay and PayPal have a current correct mailing address. In an unusual situation of a long complicated mailing address which cannot be printed onto an online label cannot be printed due to overall length, ECB may send an email message through eBay whether a shorter mailing address may be available. ECB may send an email message through eBay for an English translation of a registered foreign address to help assure the correct processing of mail distribution and delivery.
14. As a protective means to ensure delivery, the USPS Signature Confirmation service will be automatically applied to the postage cost when the winning bid for an auction item is equal or over $57 US Dollars. USPS Airmail First Class Mail International & Certificate Of Mailing will be automatically applied to the postage cost when the auction winning bid is equal or over 51 Euros or the equivalent currency of the country of the winning bidder. eBay bidders who may disagree with this delivery precaution are kindly requested not to bid on this auction item.
15. Without postal insurance, the winning eBay bidder accepts all risks associated with delivery to include the possible theft and/or damage. EBC will take all action to securely package and label the auction item but cannot accept responsibility for the secure delivery of this auction item or the replacement of winning eBay bidder funds. As may be necessary, ECB will provide the winning eBay bidder with any/all input that might help in the investigation/recovery of the lost/missing parcel to include the registered PayPal payment receipt and the USPS Tracking Number.
16. Other mailing and postage/insurance options may be accommodated. The winning eBay bidder should contact ECB to coordinate any custom arrangement within 3 days of the auction closing date. Additional postage costs may apply.
