This vintage bamboo fly rod, 4 piece, 3 sections measure 36” long, the second tip section measures 35”. Stamped on the silver reel seat is “Made by Goodwin Granger Company Denver”. Also written in script “Granger Champion” on bamboo itself just above cork handle. All appears original, excellent condition for its age. All sections appear straight. Please view photos as we will be selling this vintage Granger fly rod as is. One image shows a hairline crack in one of the metal... ends. The cork handle is slightly darkened due to use many decades ago. Rod comes with original tube and sock.Please e-mail with any questions. Hopefully we can answer. I do not know the exact age of the fly rod. It was my fathers (who would have been 91 this year), but since my Dad was not a fly fisherman, I’m thinking it was his father’s rod. His father died when he was young, so it makes sense why he cherished this rod so much. He was very proud of it and took excellent care of it. "Just an fyi, this rod was made between 1936 and 1942, until all production halted due to WWII."This time frame falls precisely into my grandfather's lifespan. (1897-1948)
