Description: Marucci model AP5-M Custom Cut Albert Pujols professional model bat, with a cupped end, shows evidence of outstanding game use with a slight handle crack. Many ball... marks and deep ball stitch impressions are visible on the left and back barrel. Ball marks include blue ink transfers and white leather scuffs. Cleat marks are visible on all sides of the barrel. Also visible on the bat is an impression from a weighted batting sleeve + a moderate coat of pine tar on the upper handle. The mark visible on the handle identifies the face grain of the bat. The date of manufacture "4/30/009, Pujols' number (5) traced over in gold, length (4) and weight (1.8) are stamped into the knob. An Albert Pujols signature, plus his number "5" + the added inscription "GAME USED" are on the front of the barrel in silver marker.
Provenance: The bat has been authenticated by Major League Baseball Authentication service and their hologram (FJ293657) is affixed to the front barrel for the autograph & inscription. The bat is also accompanied by a Letter of Authenticity for the game use and a Certificate of Authenticity for the autograph / inscription. Both LOA + COA are signed by ALBERT PUJOLS and his hologram (00103) is affixed to the bat. Conclusion: After a thorough examination of this Albert Pujols professional model bat and its player use characteristics, it is our opinion that the bat is authentic, and was GAME USED by PUJOLS during the referenced labeling period. The bat exhibits OUTSTANDING use and possesses identifiable player use characteristics. We have assigned the bat a grade of:
