ANTIQUE CIRCA 1910 STEIFF TUMBLING TEDDY BEAR
This gorgeous chap is a Steiff tumbling teddy bear dating from around 1910When you squeeze his body you can feel quite a hefty mechanism insideIt is no longer working - as you can see from the photos there is some naïve repair work to the back of his armsHe still displays well though and would look fabulous in an old bear collectionHeight approx. 13 inches
He has his original boot button eyes and his facial stitching and claws are st...ill intactUnfortunately his ear button is missing. He has the distinctive Steiff look and has long arms and large feet
CONDITION - Wear to paw pads, minor wear to mohair, tumbling mechanism no longer operative. No button. Some repairs to the back of his arms. PHOTOS ARE A FAIR REPRESENTATION OF THE CONDITIONOn 17-Oct-19 at 23:51:00 BST, seller added the following information:One arm swings all the way around in a full circle and you can hear the mechanism inside clunking when you do this.The other arm should do the same, but at some point it has been stitched to the body as it must have been loose - see photo
