This Post Office Bank is made of oak with an Antique Corbin Cabinet Lock Co. Post Office Door #654 - Circa 1930.....maker signedA coin slot has been added to the bank with a plaque inscribed "Used At Leadville, Co., 1896-1972....Made Into This Bank By Howard A. Oleson" with the makers marking in the lower right corner (see pics)****If you are looking for a challenge, this bank is for you! I believe the combination to this lock is taped to the base (see pics), but I have been... unable to get it to work, I am likely doing something wrong with the left and right turns! You could have fun trying to get it open, or just enjoy the bank as a great piece of Colorado history! Bank including door measures 6 1/4" high, 5 1/8" wide and 4 3/4" deep There is stain discoloration to the wood on the back and bottom as seen in the pics....likely easily remedied if desired This is a #1 1930 Corbin Double Dial Eagle Post Office door. It measures 3 5/8 inches wide and 5 inches tall. It has a full frame. The original number & original glass are in very good condition considering its age. View photos of the glass, door & bank for overall condition. The knobs turn pretty smoothly but could stand to be oiled, once you are able to figure out the combination and get it opened Offered with a low opening bid and no reserve....shipped the day after payment is received by USPS Priority Mail
