80 ' S Ken Ewer Tin Studios Dollhouse Miniature Colonial Candlestand Candle Stand
Item History & Price
DESCRIPTION- A very nice adjustable candlestand made by Ken Ewer, pewter maker who founded Colonial Craftsman pewter, which was sold to Steiff (Williamsburg). After that, he made tin lighting including these, chandeliers, & other pieces in the 1970's-80's selling as Doll House Tin Studios, making presumably at his home which was at one time in both Mill...ville & Cape May, New Jersey, as he sold these through selected dollhouse shops. It holds two burned down candles, giving it the right look for a scene. Dollhouse tin lighting comes up fairly rarely & I've sold the chandeliers & candle holders for high prices at every show I've ever done. It measures 4 & 1/4" to the top of the candles & 4 & 1/16" tall to the top of the middle rod X 1 & 3/8" wide at the bottom.
