清 戧金彩漆開光雲龍紋小箱. I found similar chest at Lacquerculture.com website, which show case imperial item from National Palace Museum (http://www.lacquerculture.com/tw/aticle_view?fid=1607).
Qiangjin and Tianqi lacquer is the most laborious production process. After the box is covered and painted with lacquer, the painting outline is further carved and the carving is filled with gilt lacquer. A time consuming process to highlight whatever was painted.
