Offered for your consideration is this highly desirable 1938 Zenith model 7s232 tombstone radio.
Usually referred to as the "Walton Tombstone Radio" as this model was featured in the old television show THE WALTON'S. But it was also shown in the movie Torra Torra Torra and on the Monkey's TV show.
This unit was purchased from the original owners granddaughter. It would be difficult to find one in as good of original condition as this one.
The chassis number and cabin...et numbers match.
The cabinet is in original finish. The finish is still pretty nice but it does have a couple scrapes and scuffs. PLEASE SEE PICTURES
All of the lightning bolt knobs are there. It doesn't look like there are any missing parts. But I am not a Radio guy. I know nothing about how they work. The electric cord is hard and kind of brittle and cracked.
The radio can be inspected at my shop Sedge Meadow Antiques in Harvard Il.
I am not comfortable shipping the radio so I am listing it a local pick up. But I would be happy to work with your own shipper (like UShip).
