ITEM DESCRIPTION: In this auction we are presenting a high grade and complicated Swiss 14K Solid Gold Pocket Watch with Quarter ¼ Repeater Function. There is a case hallmark that represents maker but we cannot find information on it so we’ll leave it to the buyers to do research. This Quarter Repeater 14K Hunting Case Pocket Watch has a movement with at least 21 jewels and comes in very desirable LeCoultre bridge layout. The nickle movement is obviously very high grade with the way it is finished having sand-blasted winding wheels and capped escape bridge. This watch looks to be from the 1880-1890s. Condition-wise the watch is winding, setting and running and the quarter repeater mechanism works well and the chiming is loud and clear. The repeater gongs appear to be original and not altered/repaired. For any antique watch movement we always recommend for the owner to conduct full service with qualified watchmaker to ensure longevity of the mechanism. We do not guarantee function in any way for an item that is over 100 years old and there is NO RETURN. Cosmetically the enamel dial has a chip at the center hole and there is no other defect that we could see. The 14K solid gold hunter case is clean without major defects, we do not guarantee there won’t be scratches/dings/dents. Both of the front and back bezels along with their crystals is intact.
