A lovely Vintage Original Nancy Sawin Oil on Board Impressionist Outdoor Landscape Painting Titled "Mill", Excellent Condition, very slight surface wear to original wood weathered frame. The painting measures 20 1/2" x 16 1/2" x 5/8" at the outer frame, the showing painting measures 17 1/4" x 13 1/4" and together with frame weighs 2lb 7oz. Artist signed in oil at ...the bottom center Sawin, the back has written by artist: "Mill" Lewisville Rd. W. Of Old Mill Rd. 1978, Nancy Sawin North Light Studio Hockessin DE 19707. Wonderful brush strokes throughout, the colors are fantastic, great slight impasto texture. A lovely scene of old stone mill house with 2 persons at the door, to the left of mill a bridge and stream, great clouds and blue sky with birds flying. Nancy Sawin (1918-2008), Listed American Artist, Delaware, well known for her local impressionist landscape paintings as well as her books.
