Original Description:
A very finely worked early 19th century silk sampler, traditionally stitched with a central verse surrounded by a meandering border of flowers one could say a garland, signed in the center JANE BROWN and dated 1802.It is interesting that this sampler has been worked  with the verse first stitched through the ground linen before adding a backing linen through which the border and final date have been worked.condition some age related discoloration and holes to the ground linen , al...though the fold lines would imply that this sampler was never framed
