This a very unusual & appealing Nativity scenario......with amazing hand carved detail! The wooden case is 15" wide, 13" tall and 3" deep, with lots of carved detail and applied carved embellishments. I don't know what the figures & embellishments are made of, possibly soapstone, but they are wonderfully done. The origin of this piece is unknown but could be South American, maybe Peruvian. Excellent condition; no artist marking.
