Vintage Fiesta cream soup bowl Light Green Very Good condition. Condition is classified as Used.The art deco tab handled cream soup bowl is one of the most recognized designs of the Fiesta ware pottery line. It was used extensively in advertising of the period. This bowl is extremely desirable and always a favorite find among collectors. The foot is hand turned and the lug handles were applied by hand. The wide C-shaped or "lug" handle is unique because this is t...he only Fiesta piece that had this type of handle. The handles were added by hand so you may come across a cream soup bowl with crooked handles or handles that are not exactly across from each other. Bottom marks will vary but all have 4 rings.Dimensions:6-5/8" w from tab to tab x 2 1/4" high, 5 1/16" from rim to rim and 2 13/16" across bottom foot.Marks:
This piece has a bottom impressed mark - "fiesta Made in U.S.A.". Years of production:
1936 until 1959In the interest of full disclosure: (1.) Photo #6 - Please note that you can detect where the glaze is fainter and darker just under the lug handle. The handle got in the way during the spraying of the glaze prior to firing at the factory. (2.) Photo #7- There is a small glaze flaw (possibly a glazed covered flea bite where a sand grain came out and was then covered with glaze) on the rim in the middle of the picture.
