This is a beautiful piece of rare late 18th or possibly very early 19th century English linen & cotton toile de Jouy, it is a documented fabric pictured in the V&A book 'English Chintz' published by Her Majesty's Stationary Office 1955. The book dates the design as 1765, this is most likely a slightly later version.
It is printed in brown with some detail picked out and over printed with blue here and there, see photos, a very charming design, ideal for framing or projects or reference.
The condition is mostly good , some pale marking, see photos.It measures about 25" by 18" or 63.5 cms by 46 cms. Thank you for looking.
