Breitling Vintage " Top - Down " Chronograph Watch Ref. 179 Venus 170

Here I have a rare and great looking vintage two-register chronograph by Breitling. This model is often referred to as the "top-down" due to the positioning of the two registers. The watch is in good condition and dates from 1945 (according to its serial number which is located on the case-back). On the case-back too can be seen the reference number of the watch -179. The watch is powered by the famous Venus 170 caliber movement. The watch still looks bright and in great condition for ...a timepiece aged 74 years with the multi-coloured symbols and numerals still standing out well. This surely is an important Breitling model -rare, in very good condition and fully functioning. It represents a nice example for your collection or for your wrist -a great talking point and you will probably never ever meet anyone else wearing one!
