Up for sale is an early vintage believed antique hand made birds eye maple pipe box with single drawer and lollypop handle hanging hole recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia pA area. Beautiful design. Wonderful repurposed. Could have envelopes up top and stamps below. Or gorgeous just hanging empty. Great wood. The bottom seems missing as the drawer slides on two nails which seems odd but is working. Lovely antique solid brass ...or bronze knob. Clean. Dove tailed bottom. Overall the back side is 16.25", side 2.25 & front 4 7/8". The box at the front side corner is 8 1/2 x 4 7/8 x 1 7/8 x 4 1/2" (the inside dimension of box). drawer is 1.25x4" inside. Some cracks to the aging, drying wood but a beautiful box, lovely knot imperfections on the sides.
