This clock is an outstanding early antique 19thc English ebonised & brass triple fusee musical 8 bell inverted bell top bracket clock of superb proportions and of the highest quality in excellent original condition for age with superb pierced fretwork panels decorating it with original silk behind them. The case features an inverted bell top design typical of the early 19thc period. This clock dating to Circa 1820. The movement has just been professionally stripped, cleaned and serviced so will give many more years of good reliable time keeping without any problems
The case has a stunning display look which has an absolutely amazing colour and patina to the ebonised case, the case is in excellent condition for age exactly how you want to find it with a superb polished finish and original finish to the brass mounts. The case has the very best quality lacquered brass mounts with their original finish which looks amazing with a hinged glazed front door with working lock and key and a hinged glazed back door with working lock and key, on either side there is 2 original pierced fretwork panels with original silk behind them with pierced frets to front of case and to the inverted bell top all with their original silk behind them and original lacquered brass handle and finials to top and original lacquered brass bracket feet and brass banding to front corners
The ebonised case has an absolutely stunning colour and patina to it which is acquired through age and has its original polished finish to it which looks a lot better in the flesh. this is exactly how i have received it and it looks 100% more impressive in the flesh and as you can see looks absolutely stunning
The clock features a high quality beautiful brass and silvered squared dial with engraved roman numerals on the silvered chapter ring with pierced brass corner spandrels and a matted brass centre. The dial has 2 selection levers to the top sides one which is for silent / chime which turns the 1/4 chime 8 bell musical tunes off so you have a choice of putting it on silent a rare feature. The other one is for the choice of musical tune. It has 2 musical tunes one on 4 bells and the other on 8 bells and this lever lets you select which one you want. It has its original english steel hands again all in fantastic original condition The dial measures 8 inches square and is in beautiful condition with the original silvered makers plaque to centre with the maker John Hall of 56 King Street, Manchester

If on the rare occasion you receive a clock that has a problem or does not work after initial set up and adjusting by a professional person then we reserve the right for you to return the mechanism for repair by myself
There will be no refunds if the mechanism needs repair. I reserve the right for the mechanism to be returned to me for repair
I offer a 6 months return to base warranty on all my mechanisms (unless stated not working in description)
In case of a problem after a professional has attempted to set the clock up you can return the mechanism back to me for repair
Please do not take the mechanism to a local clock maker/repairer as this will render the warranty void. All repairs needed to the mechanism will be carried out by myself and not by a 3rd party clock maker/repairer unless agreed by myself beforehand. please contact me in the first instance to arrange return of the mechanism for repair by myself
Shipping the mechanism back to me will be at the buyers cost and i will pay to get the mechanism back to you after repair
