THIS IS AN ANTIQUE BROWN & SHARPE MFG. CO. RARE NO. 225 MINIATURE MACHINIST 0-1/2" MICROMETER IN VERY GOOD CONDITION. THE MIC IS MARKED BROWN & SHARPE MFG. CO. PROVIDENCE, R.I., U.S.A., ENGLISH GAUGE AND NO. 225. THE SMALL MICROMETER IS VERY OLD FROM THE EARLY 1900's THE MIC ABOUT MEASURES 2 3/8" LONG AND HAS A COOL RATCHETING TWIST TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO SENSETIVE MATERIAL. I BELIEVE THE SPECAIL USE FOR THIS TOOL WAS TO MEASURE THE WALL THICKNESS OF TUBES. IT WOULD BE GREAT FOR ...A COLLECTION OR TO USE.
