ANTIQUE ARMAND MARSEILLE A M 3200 2 DEP VTG BISQUE Turned Shoulder Head 18" DOLL
A very pretty, antique, bisque turned shoulder / head doll with bisque lower arms and hands. She has a leather body, cloth lower legs, and is marked on the back of the head " A.M. 3200 2. D.E.P. ". Her hair is blonde and her glass, stationary, eyes are brown with painted lashes and eyebrows. Her head appears to be slightly turned and she has an open mouth with four... teeth. This lovely doll measures approximately 18" high and her bisque head is in very good condition with no chips or cracks to the bisque. There is a tiny divot on the open rim (in the back) that was probably done when it was made. The leather body has a repair on the inside of one of the legs, the upper torso of the leather is worn away, and it is very stained. The leather must have worn away from over the bisque shoulder plate and then the head was stitched to the body (that is the way I usually see them). The bisque lower arms are in very good condition with no chips to the arm or the fingers. The leather on the upper arms is still there. The dress is old and the material is very stiff. The socks and shoes are also old and the soles appear to be leather. The dress is in very good condition and is a little large for her. It is pinned in the back and looks great! Only a couple of spots, here and there. One shoe is in very bad condition with most of it worn away (but still wearable) and the other looks good. She wears pretty, older, underpants with lace and ribbons. This is a very lovely bisque Armand Marseille Doll that displays beautifully! She will certainly compliment any collection.
