Vintage Sterling BUTTERFLY WING, BEACH SCENE RING, Sz 7. HALLMARK  Sterling, England, TLM. Beautiful filigree design around the domed scene. Hallmark  stamped Sterling, England (TLM) FOR THOMAS L. MOTT of England,  who exhibited at the 1924 Great Empire Exhibition and catapulted the art of reverse painting on Butterfly Wing to a new fashionable craze of elegant jewelry. Today this fine sterling jewelry of the Deco Age is making a comeback, and these unique... pieces are growing in popularity and is a very exquisite collectible. The ring is in original uncleaned vintage condition.The Butterfly wing has a wonderful bluish purple iridescence.  Butterfly jewelry were popular souvenir items and this ring features a beautiful tropical beach scene.
