You are viewing an Antique Oriental Puppet Wayang Golek Marionette Carved Wooden Folk Art.Part of the cultural history of Indonesia, this vintage stick marionette can be a display collectible, or a working puppet. Measuring 28 inches in height. It can be used for puppet shows or displayed in wooden stand that it comes with. His arms are articulated and hold the traditional sticks used in animation of shows, known as Wayang Golek Theater. His brightly painted headdre...ss and animated face are of carved and painted wood. There is a face on the back of his head too.There is some paint loss mostly on his eyes and nose (see pictures.) The paint on the body is in very good condition considering the age.The kimono has soiling and a few holes.The puppet comes apart at the neck and can be removed from the stand.INSURANCE WILL BE INCLUDED IN THE SHIPPING FEES.It will make an excellent display or addition to any collection. SHIPPING: I try to ship all items within 72 hours from receipt of payment, but sometimes due to holidays, weekends, post office closings, and a busy schedule of my own that is not always possible. I do send a notice to buyers as to when the item is shipped. INSURANCE: Is is included in the shipping and handling fees for US bidders. REFUNDS: All sales are final. Refunds are ONLY made if there is a significant error in the item description and it is not evident in the photos. Refunds are made for the purchase price ONLY. Shipping fees are not included. For a refund to be made, the item must be returned in the same condition as when it was originally shipped and it must be returned within 7 days of receipt of the item.
