Intricate cut glass depression glass green whale oil lamp produced by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company in Massachusetts. The dimensions are 8 3/4" high x 3" across the bottom 6-sided base. This is a reproduction of whale oil lamps from the mid 1800s that became popular with the depression glass era of the 1930s and 40s. It has 3 pieces pressed together on the sides with top round part and metal burner collar being separate pieces. It's a particularly pretty piece with oval ridges ...cut into the edges on both the top and bottom of the lamp.
