This is a very unique and rare antique Chinese hand shaped carnelian bead and silver ornate necklace pendant or hair ornament. The design is double sided and includes a pair of fishes, a lotus flower and a treasure vase which are all auspicious symbols of Buddhism. There are 3 hand carved carnelian bead dangles and bells, the carnelian beads measure 10-11mm. The whole piece measures 3 3/4 inches tall and 1 3/4 inches across, it is in very good vintage condition with a wonderful rich pa...tina to the silver. This is likely some lower grade silver from sterling although has not been tested as to not damage the piece. Weight is 21 grams.
