Description A superb rare decorative English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver combination slide-action pencil & dip pen by the regarded silversmiths Sampson Mordan & Co and dating from around 1880. Lovely quality genuine 130+ year old example, in excellent clean... condition; a good size and all-over decorated with attractive flowers and foliage. It has 2 separate slider buttons, one is a silver pencil and the other is a silver dip pen which both slide in and out perfectly. On the end is an undamaged blood-stone seal and there are no added personal engraved inscriptions. Direct from a genuine estate clearance.Measurements Large size, measures 4.65 inches (117mm) in length (fully extended).Date English antique 19th Century Victorian solid sterling silver, unmarked as is quite usual with these genuine 19th century silver examples, 100% guaranteed solid sterling silver and dates from around 1870-1880.Maker Stamped with the silversmiths name "S. Mordan & Co" for Sampson Mordan & Co. Condition Excellent clean condition with no splits or solder repairs and no knocks or dents. Both the pencil and the dip pen are undamaged and they slide in and out perfectly. The blood-stone seal end has no nasty cracks and has not been engraved.
