Vintage Apple IIc A2S4000 With Power Supply - Boots, But Needs Disk Drive Repair

You are bidding on a vintage Apple IIc A2S4000 computer with power supply.
This Apple IIc is in clean condition with no chips, cracks, or gouges and minimal fading (see photos). It is serial number F6230C9A2S4000, made in the USA in 1986. It comes with the matching Apple power supply.
I've had this IIc on my shop shelves for a long time, so I tested it again before listing it. The IIc powers up and drives the AppleColor monitor I used for testing (see last photo...). But the disk drive does not read the boot disk and displays the message, "Check Disk Drive" (see last photo). I tried to boot from several different diskettes, all with the same result. So this IIc will need its disk drive repaired before you can put it back in service. Although I'm very experienced at servicing vintage Macs, I lack the parts and service manuals to tackle an Apple IIc. So this one is offered at a low starting bid for parts or repair, with no refunds or returns.

On Nov-25-19 at 09:23:41 PST, seller added the following information:A person more knowledgeable than I about Apple II computers pointed out that the random parentheses on the screen probably indicates a memory problem and told me how to run the IIc self-check on start-up. When I ran that test it displayed the message "RAM 00001000" which means that there is a bad RAM chip in the position marked with a "1". That is likely the source of the problems with this IIc.
