OLD FANCY STAR IN DIAMOND GLASS TAIL CAST IRON LIGHTNING ROD BALL WEATHERVANE. Meas. approx. 18 3/4"L. Features HARD TO FIND Star In Diamond etched glass design in tail. Front shaft is embossed 122. This weathervane was designed to fit the older star/twisted/section type rods with a 1"D ferrule area and will also fit all tube type rods. Overall condition good. Glass has typical edge nicks and a scratch from rattling in the wind for 100+ years. Good... rust and pitting from years of roof top service.Painted black years ago. ROD NOT INCLUDED.
