You are bidding on aVintage Collins Crown/ Michigan 3 lb Double Bit Axe Tool CLEANThe axe was recently obtained from anestate sale, and appears to have been well cared for. I believe this isan early axe made by the Collins Axe Co., of Collinsville, CT., that was inoperation from 1826 through 1966. The axe is stamped on the side of thehead COLLINS in the square logo, Ibelieve this is the Michigan / Crown style pattern.The axe head is 9 7/8" wide, with a 4 3/4" wide blade, and weighs 3 l...bs 1 oz. The axe is in goodcondition and was lightly cleaned and oiled, I touched up the blade edge alittle, but needs a fine honing.......As with the vintage of theaxe, there is some normal wear, some light dents and dings, and discolorationspots, all as noted from the photos.The axe isSOLD AS IS with NO RESERVE. email questions before bidding.
