A super quality Norwegian solid silver priests baptism spoon. It is hallmarked with 830 standard mark and the makers mark of David Andersen. It dates to c1900. Ithas been superbly made having a cast figural terminal and engraved bowl - I suspoect it may have been the type of thing used at a Christening and then perhaps given to the child. It is in superb condition being free from dings splits and repairs. It measures 4.25 inches (11cms) longby over 1.75 inches (4.7cms) across the bowl ...and weighs 46 grams. A beautifully made rare piece.
