You are bidding on a 1941 vintage Adlake Adams And Westlake #300 short globe lantern from the Atchison Topeka & Santa Fe AT&SF Railway. The lantern is embossed with the railroad initials and the clear globe is etched as well. Dated 2-41 for second quarter of 1941.Lantern in fair condition, it was once electrified as can be seen from the holes drilled into it. I have removed those sacrilegious parts and returned it to kerosene operation with a new kerosene font and burner. The c...lear globe has some minor chips along the top rim, no cracks. This lantern was kept on steam locomotives and used for night time switching operations and hung under the front headlight, that way the headlight could be switched off and not blind the switchmen working in the yard.Payment must be received 7 days from auction end or item will be relisted.
